Description
This workbook, designed by the Morris Center as a supplement to their Adult Survivors of Child Abuse (ASCA) support group program, is meant to lead the reader through the process of recovering from the effects of having been abused as a child. After chapters where the reader assesses their own safety and the nature of the abuse they experienced, the workbook describes the twenty-one steps to recovery, as divided into three stages: “remembering,” “mourning,” and “healing.” The work book is more explanatory than interactive; it provides a psychological framework to help the reader understand their experiences and feelings. Each of the twenty-one steps includes instructions for self-help and professional help to assist the reader in completing that step.

Feel free to complete the exercises in this book on a separate sheet of paper; please leave the workbook clean for the next person to use it!
