Description
This report seeks to increase the use of high-quality economic evidence in decisions about investments in interventions for children and families by laying out a set of best practices for researchers and policymakers. Its recommendations are based on two principles: quality counts, i.e. stronger evidence is easier to use and leads to better decisions, and context matters, i.e. the evidence must be presented in a way that is useful to decision-makers. To help consumers and producers of economic evidence get onto the same page, the authors of the report include checklists establishing criteria defining what strong economic evidence is.
